Does the answer match the buyer’s need?

Three actual Perplexity web answers show SavvyCal appearing for two relevant scheduling needs. It was absent when the buyer required features SavvyCal says it does not offer.

Current finding: no supported correction identified in the checked SavvyCal claims. The useful next step is to examine questions from a business’s real sales conversations, rather than assume every omission needs fixing.

What we observed

Buyer questionObserved answerCheck and implication
Which Calendly alternatives let invitees overlay their own calendar?SavvyCal recommended as the direct fit.Official calendar page supports guest overlay and account-free booking. Preserve that clear explanation.
Which scheduling tool should I choose if SMS reminders and routing forms are mandatory?Calendly selected; SavvyCal not recommended.SavvyCal’s comparison says it lacks these requirements. Absence is consistent with fit.
Which scheduling tools can protect focus time by grouping meetings?SavvyCal recommended for grouping new bookings, distinguished from automatic calendar optimization.Official help describes encouraging bookings near existing events. This is a preference, not a guarantee.

What this can tell a business

The two relevant questions both included SavvyCal in this collection. The unsuitable-requirement question did not. These are three individual observations, not an overall visibility score, market share or evidence of customer acquisition.

The inspected sources support the SavvyCal claims summarized here. We did not audit every claim about competing tools or their current prices.

What we would ask next

  1. What questions did your last three prospective buyers ask while comparing options?
  2. Which facts must an answer get right to help those buyers choose?
  3. Would a retained answer, its sources and a supported next action change what your team does?

A first diagnostic can cover one business and one buying use case, six agreed questions, two named answer surfaces and two runs per question/surface. It should retain answers and sources, check material claims, and finish with up to three useful actions or a clear finding that no correction was identified. Delivery and price would be agreed before work begins.

Collection details

Perplexity consumer web Search, October 22, 2026, 4:10–4:12 PM America/Chicago. Existing Free account with app Incognito enabled; Search on; a Pro free preview appeared automatically. Model and region were not controlled. Each question started a separate new thread. All three questions were unbranded, but were selected from a fact-informed SavvyCal specimen.

One run per question on one surface. Three of the proposed 24 observations are collected. No repeatability, cross-platform, causal revenue or customer-demand conclusion follows. Exact prompts, observations and source links are in the observation register; complete answer evidence is retained privately. SavvyCal is an analytical example, not a customer.
